In 2015, on a winter trip to Crete, I took this photo. I loved it, and it's still one of my favorites, but I always thought that the sky needed some more presence. Unfortunately, I couldn't really make it look how I wanted, as the sky had very few clouds.

In May of 2019, I went back and took the same photo again. The sky was fantastic, but the weather was much less windy and the water was very calm, too calm. I preferred the water in the first photo, so I combined the two exposures into this one.

The lighthouse and water are from 2015 and the sky is from 2019. I think I like this photo much more. Finally.
